Frequently asked questions
Does our company have to move to ISO 9001:2026 right away?
Not immediately. The responsible ISO committee gives 30 September 2029 as the end of the transition period for organisations certified to ISO 9001:2015. From 31 March 2028, new and initial accredited certifications are issued only to the 2026 edition.
What changed in the 2026 edition?
Leadership, quality culture and accountability carry more weight, risks and opportunities are treated more clearly, and a new Annex A explains key terms and the intent of the requirements.
Does Quality Management Officer (ISO 9001): running a QMS day to day include a certificate?
This course does not prepare for an exam set by a certification body. "Quality Management Officer" describes a role within a company and is not a protected qualification.
