We have not appointed a data protection officer because there is no legal obligation to do so.

2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA) and delivered through its global network. For each request, Netlify processes technically necessary access data: IP address, date and time, requested page, referrer URL, browser type and operating system, and transferred data volume and status code. The purpose is the secure and stable delivery of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Netlify also processes data in the USA. The transfer is based on the European Commission adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where Netlify is certified, and otherwise on EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).

3. Enquiries

Enquiries require your name, email and message, plus an optional phone number and company details. Online enquiries are transmitted through and stored by the form service of our hosting provider Netlify so that we can reply. Unavailable submission is clearly indicated. An email draft is sent only when you send it in your email application.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry aims at a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the data once the matter is closed and no statutory retention duties apply.

4. Accounts and learning

Enabled accounts store email, name, a password hash, enrolments, wishlist and learning progress. Passwords are not stored in plain text. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

5. Language and location

The site considers domain, explicit language choice and browser language. Optional country detection may be provided by hosting infrastructure. We use no GPS tracking or external geolocation service.

6. Cookies, analytics and advertising

We currently use no analytics or advertising trackers. The necessary preferences we store are described in the cookie information.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability (Art. 15 to 20 GDPR) and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).

8. Automated decisions

We make no automated decisions within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
