In this training you learn to use AI assistants deliberately for research, writing and recurring office tasks, and it is meant for staff without a technical background. You write structured prompts, check answers for errors and invented sources, and know which data does not belong in a tool. At the end you have your own workflow to reuse with your tasks. The content is vendor-neutral and works with the tools your company already uses.
What you’ll take away.
- Build prompts from a goal, context, example and output format
- Check answers for errors, invented sources and bias
- Keep confidential and personal data out of inputs
- Shape research, summaries and drafting into repeatable steps
- Document your own AI workflow and share it with the team
Your training in detail
- Who is it for?
- Employees, team leads and assistants who want to use AI in the office without programming skills.
- Prerequisites
- Confident use of a browser, email and office applications. No AI experience needed.
- Format & planning
- Suggested format: 1 day (about 7 hours) live online, in-company or on site by arrangement. Scope depends on prior knowledge.
Agenda: from understanding to application
Our independently developed agenda proposal. Focus areas, lab environment and scope are agreed before booking.
How language models work, why they can be convincingly wrong and what hallucinations mean for everyday office work.
Prompt structure with role, task, context, examples and output format, practised on emails and meeting notes.
Research with AI: narrowing questions, asking for sources and checking statements against original documents.
Data protection in practice: GDPR basics, anonymising inputs and internal rules for choosing tools.
Breaking recurring tasks into steps and saving them as a prompt template or checklist.
Quality assurance in the team: human sign-off, labelling AI-assisted parts and maintaining the templates.
Suggested exercise: Break a weekly task from your team into steps, write a prompt template for it and test it with two anonymised examples.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need programming skills for the AI training?
No. The training uses chat assistants and plain language. You need no code, just experience with email, documents and a browser. If you later want to automate processes, there is a separate offer on AI and workflow automation that builds on this foundation.
Which AI tool is used in the training?
The methods are vendor-neutral. Which tool runs in the exercises is agreed in advance with you or your company so that data protection and internal approvals fit. Changing provider changes little, because prompt structure and review steps work with all common assistants.
How do I tell whether an AI answer is correct?
Check figures, names and quotes against an original source before you pass them on. Ask the tool for sources and open them yourself, because references can be invented. For decisions with consequences a person should sign off. You practise exactly this review routine on examples in the training.
Does AI at work include a certificate?
No vendor exam is tied to this course. Attending alone awards no vendor certification. A NextNowa confirmation of attendance is possible; exam fees and licences are only included if confirmed in the offer.
