In this Teams course you learn to use Microsoft Teams deliberately in daily work: planning and running meetings, co-editing files and building channels that make sense. It is aimed at staff, team leaders and project owners who already use Teams but want more order and pace. You practise chats, channel structure, meeting options, file storage through SharePoint and working with external guests. By the end you have clear working rules for your team that you can put into practice straight away.
What you’ll take away.
- Prepare and run meetings with an agenda, roles, lobby settings and recording
- Structure teams, channels and tabs to match how the team works
- Co-edit files in a channel and follow versions and permissions
- Configure chats, mentions and notifications so that important items do not get lost
- Invite external guests and judge the limits of guest access and sharing

Frequently asked questions
When should I use a chat and when a channel in Teams?
Chats suit short exchanges between a few people. Channels belong to a team and keep conversations, files and tabs on one topic together, so new members can also find the history. As soon as several people will need to refer back to something later, the channel is the better choice.
Where are my files stored when I upload them in Teams?
Files in a channel are stored in the team's SharePoint document library. Files shared in private chats are stored in the sender's OneDrive and shared through permissions. Knowing this helps with access rights, versions and finding documents outside the Teams interface.
Can I work with people outside my company in Teams?
Yes, through guest access or external access, provided your IT team allows it. Guests are added to a team and can see its content, whereas external participants can only chat in a limited way. Your administrator decides which option applies in your organisation. The course shows what to check before you invite someone.
Does Work effectively with Teams include a certificate?
There is no vendor exam for everyday Teams use that this course specifically prepares for. Attending alone does not award a vendor certification. Fees and licences are only included if confirmed in the offer.
