After these two days you can write your own T-SQL queries: you filter and sort data, join tables, build totals and groups, and change records without accidentally hitting too many rows. You can apply this in SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics and Microsoft Fabric. The course suits you if you work with data but have so far relied on exports or on queries written by other people.
What you’ll take away.
- Write SELECT queries and filter and sort the results
- Combine data from several tables using joins and subqueries
- Use built-in functions and group and aggregate data
- Change rows in a controlled way with INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE
Your training in detail
- Who is it for?
- Anyone who works with data and needs to write their own queries, for example in data analysis, data engineering, database administration or development.
- Prerequisites
- You do not need any SQL experience. It helps if you know what tables, rows and columns are.
- Format & planning
- Standard length: 2 training days. A different length can be arranged for companies.

Does DP-080: Query and modify data with Transact-SQL include a certificate?
This course has no certification exam of its own. It teaches T-SQL basics for further data topics, and it does not lead to a Microsoft certificate. This is not an official Microsoft course.
