In this Microsoft 365 training you learn to use Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive so your team can find files, work together and keep permissions under control, and it is aimed at users and team leads. You understand where files in Teams are actually stored, use version history and co-authoring, share content with guests in a controlled way and agree a simple folder structure. The examples are drawn from project and department teams. The feature set and licence of your tenant are taken into account beforehand.
What you’ll take away.
- Use teams, channels and chats sensibly for project and department work
- Explain how Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive connect and where files are stored
- Work together safely using co-authoring, version history and the recycle bin
- Share files internally and with guests in a controlled way and end sharing
- Define a filing structure with libraries, metadata and naming rules

Frequently asked questions
Where are my files stored when I upload them in Teams?
Files in a team channel are stored in the team's SharePoint site. Files from private chats go to the sender's OneDrive and are shared from there. Knowing this helps you set permissions correctly and find data again. We demonstrate it in the course on your own team.
Teams, SharePoint or OneDrive: what do I use for what?
OneDrive suits personal drafts, SharePoint suits content a team or department maintains together. Teams is the interface for conversation and meetings and displays the SharePoint files. In the course you develop a simple rule of thumb for your company.
Can I share files securely with external partners?
Yes, if your administrator permits external sharing. It is best to share with named people rather than Anyone links and to set an expiry date. Confidential documents belong in areas without external sharing. We look together in the course at which options your company allows.
Does Microsoft 365 for teams include a certificate?
We do not promise a specific vendor exam because Microsoft's exam catalogue changes. Current exams are listed on Microsoft Learn. Attending alone awards no vendor certification. Exam fees and licences are only included if confirmed in the offer.
